Netflix Original Series: ONE DAY AT A TIME review@streamingfamily

I am not a fan of remakes, especially if I liked the original, but Netflix’s new version of One Day at a Time, I liked. The biggest change from the original version is the family itself. There is still a single mother and character named Schneider, but the mother is a retired veteran, the kids are a girl and boy, the grandmother lives with them, and they are Cuban American. The show deals with a lot of current social and familial issues and has a good balance of humor and heartfelt moments. The cast has a good chemistry and the writing is decent, but by far my favorite part of the show is Rita Moreno!  Her timing and delivery are laugh out loud funny and what a living legend she is.   B+
